Veteran producer joins from TBWA\Chiat\Day, reuniting with recently appointed chief creative officer Amy Ferguson, reports LBB’s Ben Conway

Independent creative agency Terri & Sandy has appointed Tina Lam as its first head of production. Lam will report to chief creative officer Amy Ferguson, who joined the agency earlier this month. The move marks Amy’s first key hire since joining Terri & Sandy.

Joining from TBWA\Chiat\Day New York, where she served as executive producer and associate director of production, Tina brings 20 years of integrated production experience spanning global agencies and brands. During this prior role, Tina’s highlights include LG’s ‘Optimize Your Feed’, a campaign that encouraged TikTok users to interact with positive content; Lay’s ‘Golden Grounds’, in which potatoes grown from NFL stadium soil were used for limited-edition crisps; and Columbia Journalism Review’s ‘Are You Press Worthy?’, a campaign exploring racial disparities in media coverage of missing persons cases.

Previously working at the likes of The Brooklyn Brothers, Saatchi & Saatchi and Rokkan, she also helped produce famed work such as New Era’s ‘Rivalry’ films and NBC Sport’s ‘Ted Lasso’ campaign, which inspired the hit Apple TV show.

“What made Terri & Sandy especially compelling to me is its true independence,” Tina told LBB, discussing the move. “Their priorities are the people and the creative work. Those values deeply resonate with me, and they’re exactly what I believe drives the best creative outcomes.”

CCO Amy Ferguson was herself a big draw for the new head of production, as the pair had collaborated for several years while Amy was TBWA\Chiat\Day’s CCO. “[Amy]’s one of those rare creative leaders who inspires everyone around her,” said Tina. “Over the years, we’ve built a strong working relationship, so reuniting at Terri & Sandy feels very exciting, but also seamless.

“When there is a seemingly impossible ask, Amy is the kind of creative partner who rolls up her sleeves to dive in and help find a solution, together. When a logistical challenge arises, she doesn’t shy away - she embraces it and turns it into an opportunity to make the work even stronger. That’s every producer’s dream!”

In the announcement of Tina’s hiring, Amy mirrored this admiration for her returning partner, calling her “the best producer I’ve ever worked with”. She said, “She’s cool under pressure, makes miracles happen, and has fantastic taste. She’s not just a producer who steps in at the end, she’s a true creative partner every step of the way.”

Amy continued, “Having Tina at Terri & Sandy is going to be a game-changer. She’ll bring a new level of craft and modernity to everything we make. The way she thinks and approaches production is anything but traditional.”

As the agency’s first-ever head of production, Tina has the opportunity to make her mark and build out capabilities in her own vision – a vision she's laid out as 'a community of multi-disciplinary, creatively driven producers with a passion for bringing ideas of all sizes to life'.

“Throughout my career, the environments that have inspired me most were those where curiosity thrived – where people constantly asked questions, explored how things were made, and shared what they learned,” said Tina. “That spirit of discovery and collaboration is, to me, the heart of great creative producing. When a production department embodies this type of energy, it elevates everything – not just for the producers, but for the entire creative team.”

She added, “In today’s fast-paced production landscape, giving creativity the room to evolve and breathe during the production phase can seem like a rare luxury. Time and budget constraints will always be part of the process, but by fostering an environment where every perspective is valued and the integrity of the work is preserved, we create the conditions for real production magic to happen.”

Lam’s appointment is the latest in a series of creative hires for Terri & Sandy. Prior to Amy joining as CCO, the agency welcomed Fearless Girl co-creator Tali Gumbiner and award-winning creative director Rafa Oliviera. And since Peyton Sutton stepped in as president to run the shop alongside founder and CEO Sandy Greenberg, the agency has welcomed new clients Revlon, Welch’s Sparkling Juice, Mars’ Kevin’s Natural Foods and Earth Breeze.

Eager to contribute to this positive momentum, Tina shared, “There’s big creative ambition at Terri & Sandy. Having the creative freedom to play, explore and make is genuinely exciting. There are no hard-set rules - so for now, I’m making my own and breaking them as I go.”
