The Australian Influencer Marketing Council (AiMCO) today announced a new strategic partnership with global media agency, Omnicom Media Group Australia (OMG), which will provide free AiMCO membership for eligible creators. This will be done through OMG’s end-to-end influencer marketing capability, Creo.
The partnership, which is the first-of-its-kind for the organisation, will see OMG sponsor an annual AiMCO membership for eligible creators and influencers, giving them free access to AiMCO’s leading industry education, insights and best-practice resources.
As part of the agreement, OMG will fund AiMCO creator memberships for its own stable of creators through its platform Creo, allowing creators to access AiMCO’s suite of industry information sheets, along with member-only webinars, events, group deals and networking opportunities.
OMG works with hundreds of creators a month in Australia on behalf of its large client stable. Its proprietary Creo capability is an end-to-end influencer marketing solution, which accesses millions of creators, and ensures informed creator selection and brand protection across thousands of creator categories globally.
The partnership represents a significant investment by OMG in both AiMCO and the national influencer marketing industry, demonstrating the strength of the sector and a growing industry-wide desire to continue to professionalise the creator economy.
Commenting on the partnership, Thomas Hutley, managing director, OMG Content, said, “OMG has been a proud AiMCO founding member since 2019. This initiative reinforces our shared commitment to supporting brands and creators as the creator economy evolves.
“Since launching Creo earlier this year, we’ve seen strong client adoption, demonstrating influencer marketing is a powerful vehicle for media effectiveness. Our guaranteed
outcomes model proves the exceptional results that can be unlocked when the right creator is paired with the right message and amplified to a receptive audience.
“We’re committed to fostering an environment where creators can continue to thrive, doing what they do best: producing attention-grabbing content for loyal, engaged audiences. Providing meaningful access to education, training, and resources is a vital step in supporting creators and strengthening outcomes across the entire industry," Thomas says.
Patrick said, “This is a landmark agreement for both AiMCO and the overarching Australian influencer marketing sector.
“Influencers and content creators are the lifeblood of our industry. This partnership is designed to continue AiMCO’s mission to drive responsible, compliant influencer marketing, by investing in best practice education for creators, while also providing critical links between brands, agencies and influencers to allow the sector to grow.
“Our new collaboration with OMG is demonstrative of the dominance of the national influencer marketing sector, and the growing enthusiasm of agencies to invest in further professionalising our creator ecosystem.
“We look forward to welcoming new creator members to AiMCO through this initiative -- we welcome their voice, input and involvement to help shape the future of influencer marketing in Australia,” Patrick added..
Members onboarded as part of the partnership with OMG will also receive a ticket to AiMCO’s 2026 'Creator Summit', which is set to be held in Sydney in February.
The AiMCO and OMG partnership is effective immediately.
