Jack Howard’s new fantasy film The Second Time Around poignantly explores love and grief in a delicate time-bending narrative. The film, which can now be watched on Channel 4, takes place on a rainy London night, where a waitress closing a café is confronted by a mysterious older woman.
Produced by Drop The Bottle LTD, in association with A Marlow's Production, Dull Boy Films and Two Magpies Entertainment: the film now qualifies for Oscars and BAFTA contention, having recently had its LA premiere at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles, where it won the Best Sci-Fi Award. The film also won the Grand Prix at Ealing Film Festival and is nominated for Best British Film at the Norwich Film Festival. An impressive festival journey that has given the film strong momentum as it enters the global awards race.
It marks Nottingham-born Jack Howard’s first dramatic work, following his success as co-founder of the British comedy duo Jack & Dean. To date, Howard’s online work has amassed more than 75 million views and a combined following of 1.5 million people. Jack’s strengths lie in drawing grounded, truthful performances, even in the most heightened setups. His style blends cinematic storytelling with a sharp comic edge, as can be seen in his Cannes Lion winning work for Beko Inheritance.
Jack Howard is represented for commercials globally by 42 Branded managing director Clancie Brennan.
