The Immortal Awards is hosting its first regional jury session of the year on Thursday 23rd October, with the Europe jury day held in partnership with Boo Agency and Park Pictures.
The first of six regional sessions will see the Finalists from the German, UK and Irish jury days go up against the rest of the best work from across Europe.
A jury composed of brand, agency and craft leaders from across the region will be tasked with identifying the best of European advertising and deciding which projects - if any - will become European Finalists.
All of the European Finalists will go on to represent the regional in the global, prize giving round of judging in December and have a shot at picking up an Immortal Award or coveted Commendation.
This year’s European jury includes:
Paul Monan, head of creative excellence at Little Black Book, says, “As is tradition at the Immortals, our first regional round of the year takes place in London as we bring together the finest minds and work from across Europe. It’s always a fiercely competitive day with plenty of incredible work that’s already faced two rounds of judging to get this far. I’m excited to see which projects make it through the day and into the final round of judging later this year. And a huge thank you to our partners at Boo Agency and Park Pictures, plus our hosts for the day at Framestore, for making this day a reality.”
Jack White, founder and managing director of Boo Agency, says, “I strongly believe Europe has some of the greatest creative talent in the world. Maybe it’s due to my childhood of growing up amongst a family of pessimistic Brits, but it feels like there’s an extra bit of ‘Oomph’ required to have your work stand out here. It’s by no means who shouts the loudest. Some of the amazing brands we are privileged to work with are based outside of Europe, so it’s something that we’re consistently proud of that they choose to come to us to lead global work. Any part - no matter how big or small - we can play in continuing to build and fortify the recognition of creativity in Europe, we’re there with bells on.”
Jack adds, “We’re a growing team, hungry to continue to surround ourselves with the best in the biz. We’re also a team that puts at the forefront of what we do, providing copious amounts of opportunities for development and creative fuel for our team. Supporting The Immortal Awards achieves both of these things; bringing us into rooms full of people who inspire us alongside work that we fight to be recognised amongst. It’s such a positive tension for us to have in the studio.
Simone Sebastian, head of talent at Park Pictures, says, “Having been part of the UK jury I'm excited to see how work from the UK stacks up against the rest of the region. There has been a lot of fantastic work this year so it's sure to be a spirited day with the rest of the European jury!”
Having already visited Berlin, London and Dublin, Little Black Book’s global advertising award will host sessions in Dubai, Toronto, New York and Sydney in the coming weeks.
The competition’s six regions - Europe, MEA, North America, LATAM, AUNZ and Asia - will each have their own jury days, selecting regional Finalists that will compete in the global round of judging.
At the global round of judging, held in partnership with music production company JSM Music in New York on December 3rd, the jury will decide which projects this year will pick up a Commendation or receive the ultimate prize – an Immortal Award.
