Gerety Awards Celebrates Creativity in Motion at First-Ever Milan Cocktail
Last Thursday, the Gerety Awards hosted its inaugural cocktail event in Milan, bringing together the city’s vibrant creative community at the headquarters of Casta Diva Group. The evening continued Gerety’s global series of in-person gatherings celebrating creativity, conversation, and cultural insight.
The panel, titled 'Surfing New Waves,' was moderated by Francesco Bozza, author and host 'Bar Spot' and explored how creativity, strategy, and production are evolving in a landscape where the rules are constantly being rewritten. Together, the speakers discussed how the industry can navigate change with agility, optimism, and collaboration.
Featuring Giorgia Crepaldi (Casta Diva), Debora Magnavacca (AKITA Films), Ludovica Federighi (FUSE/OMG) and Ginevra Capece Galeota (Spotify), the conversation spotlighted symbolic soundtracks and personal perspectives to illustrate a sector in continuous motion. Themes of courage, curiosity, and creative freedom emerged as essential antidotes to fear and algorithmic standardisation.
Across discussions of surfing, music, and culture, a shared vision became clear: advertising must return to being human - empathetic, surprising, and emotionally resonant. Even in the age of AI, true creativity remains a deeply cultural and unpredictable act, powered by human instinct and insight.
“Milan has always been a city where craft, culture, and creativity collide,” said , co-founder of the Gerety Awards. “Bringing Gerety here for the first time felt like a natural step, and the energy in the room showed just how hungry the industry is for open, honest conversations about where creativity is heading. These events remind us that the most powerful ideas still come from brave people with fresh perspectives.”
The evening also celebrated the Italian winners of the Gerety Awards 2025 and was made possible with the support of ADCI and IAA.
